2.2 Column and bed
The exposed places on the column are subject to penetration tests. The geometrical accuracy check of bed and column is accomplished. The guideways for X, Y, and Z-axes are newly ground according to the geometrical accuracy protocol. The safety stops are renovated. The inside of the column is also renovated, including the exchange of counterbalance pulley, bearings and ropes that compensate the weight of the spindlebox.
2.3 Spindlebox
Spindlebox is completely modernized. All bearings and cog wheels (if damaged) are exchanged. There is a new electromotor installed into the spindlebox, which contains a new boring spindle with OTT Jakob clamping bar. The machine is equipped with standard cooling system.
2.4 Ballscrews
X, Y, and Z-axes ballscrews are newly ground and they achieve the precision of the new ballscrews. The balls are exchanged to fit the diameter of the newly-ground screws. If needed, the ballscrew ends is adjusted to fit new motors. The ballscrew bearings are exchanged. In case the ballscrews cannot be renovated, new ones will be supplied.
2.5 Table, spindlebox and column slides
After being ground, slides are newly fitted. The fitting is done with a low-friction material with a better friction coefficient. Wipers of the guideways are new. In such way, the geometrical accuracy is achieved.
2.6 Hydraulic reinforcement of the travels
All pistons are cleaned and equipped with a new sealing. The press sensors are new and placed as near as possible to the pistons.
2.7 Table and its rotation
The table surface is newly ground on a double column milling machine, damaged parts are repaired and the slides are lubricated in order to achieve higher geometrical accuracy. A new rotation sensor is installed.
2.8 Hydraulic aggregate
Completely new.
2. 9 Lubrication system
The lubrication system is new and equipped with press sensors controlling the amount of lubricant used.
2.10 Telescopic covers
Telescopic covers are new.
2.11 Operator's platform
The former operator's platform is adjusted so that a hole in the foundation is not needed. There is a fence around the platform - controlled by a switch that will not allow for the machine's function unless the fence is locked. A new operation panel is installed.
2.12 Surface treatment
Inside surfaces are painted with an anticorrosive and oil-resistant paint. Outside surfaces are ground and painted with polyurethane colour according customer demands. Standard colour is blue (RAL 5010).
2.13 Electrical equipment
Basic parameters
The machine is equipped with 5 digital servomotors with backlash and CNC control system.
The machine is completely controlled by a CNC control system in 4 axes with the possibility of circular and linear interpolation. By using new and up-to-date components, long-life running reliability is guaranteed.
Control System
The machine is equipped with CNC control system HEIDENHAIN i530 including colour monitor, portable auxiliary control panel with an electronic hand wheel.
Operation panel
Operation panel of the machine will be placed on a rotating console on the operator's platform.
Motors
There will be five Heidenhain Eco Dyn digital servomotors for X, Y, Z, W and B-axes.
Heidenhain scales
X, Y, Z and W-axes are equipped with Heidenhain linear scales that ensure the accuracy of the machine. The B-axis (rotation of the table) is fitted with a rotation sensor. The position of W and B axes will be indicated on the operation panel. Revolutions of the spindle are measured by a special sensor.
Switchboard
All the electrical control elements are concentrated in a centralized switchboard.
